Welcome to Alberta Environmental Laws 101!

This website is designed for students like you and can be incorporated into your classes or can be used as a resource when working on your other school projects. As you will see, the website is divided into two main sections – topics and lesson plans.

If this is your first visit to Alberta Environmental Laws 101, we suggest starting with the topics and particularly with the section on the Fundamentals of Environmental Law. Starting here will walk you through each topic, giving you a good overview of environmental law in Alberta.

From there, move on to our lesson plans.  These lesson plans are designed to build off the topics and can be used to test your understanding or just to spend more time with the material. Each lesson plan includes options for participation and areas for you to practice what you have learnt. Everything is available for you to download at home or at school.
